The way everything sparkles and shimmers in the hazy sunlight



 How things slowly take on their natural color as it sheds its wintery coat...


 Like a tiny glimpse of spring...


 The way everything takes on a whole new look...

And how it's as if everything slowly comes into focus
as the sun melts away the ice and haze....

I received a reviewers box of goodies from the Brad's Raw people last Monday and I really couldn't wait to share it with you.  However, when they said they were sending a sampler I was expecting tiny sample-sized packets, but this is what I got: And since I'm working on not being a greedy gus, I didn't immediately rip into all the packages and devour them. I did eat almost a whole container of the Naked Leafy Kale chips for dinner, but that was out of necessity since i haven't been shopping... In my attempts to reduce my stress load I have rediscovered one of my favorite de-stressors: relaxing with a hot cup of tea. Ive read wonderful things about the relaxing benefits of Earl Grey tea spiked with Bergamot. I have to admit I'm a bit of a tea snob. I like to be able to see the composition of the tea in the bag. I find it thrilling to look in the tea bag and see bits of dried orange and lemongrass. This, of course, can do terrible things to ones wallet. So, in the interest of pinching pennies (sounds gruesome for those poor pennies) I considered the lower costing teas. To be perfectly honest I was not hopeful when I selected this tea. But for a change the tea that cost the least ($2.99) was surprisingly good (Mind you i was shopping at Whole Foods and its pretty hard to buy an awful product there). The Spanish Steps in Rome It astonishes me to observe that, in this day and age when travel is so common, people are less and less aware of the customs and cultures of people around the world. With a few keystrokes a person can find out a million things about a locality with respects to preferences, etiquette and behavioral and social quirks. But it seems that people misunderstand the term "When in Rome...". They take it to mean "follow the local customs", which it partially means, but they fail to grasp that it also implies the need to also follow local habit and attitude as they follow the customs.
