Food Should Taste Good...duh!

Image
Review time! Yay! I guess... As much as I love to share my opinion about things, doing a formal review scares me a bit. It requires deep meditative thinking about textures and flavors. Not a problem. It requires you to eat. Obviously, not a problem. It requires you to express your adoration concisely. Again, not a problem. SO, what's the problem? Sometimes I really dislike a product and I feel bad expressing my disdain for something in such a public way. There's a big difference between telling my mum I don't like something and putting it on here for the world to see. And I feel that it being untruthful if I sugarcoat it. So know that I will not be sugar coating anything, but I will try to be descriptive in what I didn't like. I realize  that what I dislike about a certain food might be just what someone else likes about it. Without further ado... Here is your review! First things first... How much do you love the name of this company?  Cute rig...

Beat the Heat with a (Sorbet Covered) Stick

I've been wanting to try this for ages, but I was waiting for it to go on sale. Well, guess what! Currently on sale at Whole Foods. Woo hoo! After a long hard day in the office the day before yesterday (Wednesday) I decided to stop delaying a trip to get some groceries. Knowing I would have to wait a few minutes for the bus home (and already feeling hunger sneaking up on me) I decided to get a cool treat to temporarily satiate, cool me off and not ruin a day of healthful eating. For under a dollar, chock full of real ingredients, under 100 calories this tiny heavy weight really hit the spot. It comes with an adorable spoon hidden under the lid. It's small, which definitely helps with pacing yourself while eating thus preventing brain freeze and gluttonous scarfing. As with many sorbets it starts as a solid looking block of sorbet, but as it melts and you mix it with the spoon (or just scrape it) it gets wonderfully creamy. Winter Comforts

Image
What do you do when it looks like this outside and you just can't stay home? Put on a cozy sweater (and a few other layers of clothing) and head out into the wild winter weather. Days like these are perfect for cuddling with a warm scone, a cup of tea and a great book. But as I mentioned I had to leave the house for a noble and good reason: volunteer work. So, I really could not stay home. And let's face it: We cannot rely on comfort food alone to keep us sane in the winter time. If we did that in the North Eastern United States we would all weigh 300lbs (that is the abbreviation of pounds, but it stands for "lotsa blubber sam"...true story). Enter the non-edible comfort. The first non-edible comfort I'd like to share with you is this beautiful set of creature(comfort)s: Alba Botanica lip balm: Coconut Cream (green), Pineapple Quench (yellow), and Passion Fruit (red) They are shy and insisted on being photographed in low light...another true story Well, it's n...
