When life Gives You Stale Chips.....

Image
I just noticed that a lot of the food Ive been drooling over lately has been rather lack-luster in the color department. Case in point: Quinoa Apple Sauce: There's no recipe because I invented this out of desperation.  White bean "Pesto" soup: This was going to be a dip, but my chips were stale so it became a delicious soup. White Bean and Cabbage Scramble with a Masala Dosa: So flavorful and filling. Popcorn(my ex is back!): who needs store bought microwave popcorn? not me! Hello handsome! Healthy sprinkle of cayenne pepper and spanish sea salt Shoes: So I didnt eat these but my new shoes happen to be neutral colored too  Mai Fun ( rice flour cappellini) with homemade Tomato Spinach Sauce: I ate this for 3 meals in a row. So tasty!  But not everything was neutrally colored. My dear friend and one of my Pioneer partners went to Edible Arrangements for a fruit salad and I happened to not be penny-less so I w

Weekend Awesomeness

This Weekend was my Circuit Assembly. It was a ridiculously wonderful weekend! SO much wonderful instruction and spiritual food! Assemblies and Conventions always help me with refocusing on what is really important and with setting big goals. And last week was rather stressful so I was definitely glad to be going and spending time with spiritually minded people for two full days in a row. And I was blessed enough to be able to volunteer in two different departments. I love helping out in the coat room! You get to talk to so many people coming in. After the Saturday session we went to Whole Foods for dinner. I bought the candle cafe mac and cheese because it was on sale and there was a coupon, but i also bought the Harrys Samosas just in case it wasn't that great. Good thing I did. That mac n cheese was nothing to write home about. I wouldn't buy it again even on sale and with a coupon. There wasn't enough cheese and the shredded cheese on top of it didn't blend

What is it about chocolate that makes things seem so much cheerier? Oh right its that phenylethylamine which mimics the feelings of love in the human body.... and the caffeine of course. Isn't science great? After a stress-filled weekend I was ready for some chocolate today, but Im all about responsible snacking so, I decided on some banana - based ice cream. Not to be confused with banana flavored ice cream. Entirely different creature. Depending on the flavors used, the mix ends up not tasting like bananas at all. And yes I hear you scoffing and murmering about how it is 20 degrees outside and with the wind chill it feels like its 0 degrees. Trust me. It's worth it. So go grab some thick socks and a blanket to wrap up in and get to it! Light some candles for some radiant heat and close the blinds so you can't see the snow. Added bonus: Shivering burns calories! Pomegranate and/or Chocolate Soft Serve . ~Take 2 frozen bananas and blend them
